Fernie Heritage Library carries a range of fiction and non-fiction books, along with magazines. We also offer CDs, talking books, videos, and DVDs. A wide selection of both junior fiction & non-fiction is available for our younger readers. You will also find in our Canadian Pacific Reference Room a range of items such as encylopædias which must remain within the library.
All materials are available for a three week loan period. If you would like an item for longer you may renew it through our Online Catalog, phone us, email or you may drop by in person. Material that has a hold on it for another patron may not be renewed.
If you would like to reserve an item, you can do so through our Online Catalog, or through the book reserve form on our reserve page.
Items may be returned to the front counter or dropped through the slot at the right of the front doors.
Late charges are as follows:
| Adult Card | 10¢ per day per item |
| Junior Card | 5¢ per day per item |
| DVDs | $1 per day per item |
All items except for DVDs have a maximum fine of $2.50 each
